DAWGS PLAYING IN INAUGURAL CSI CLASSIC AT BATH CO.

Bulldogs will play East Carter Thursday Dec. 27

Owingsville, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 4-9 ) will participate in the inaugural CSI Classic starting this Thursday at Bath Co. High school. The Dawgs will take on East Carter ( 3-7 ) at 6:30. The two teams met in Grayson on November 28th with Lawrence Co. winning 57-52.

Brackets for 2017 CSI Classic at Bath Co.

Other teams in the CSI Classic are.

Paris ( 6-3 ) from the 10th Region

Menifee Co. ( 3-5 ) from the 16th Region

Estill Co. ( 5-5 ) from the 14th Region

Robertson Co. ( 6-3 ) from the 10th Region

Jackson City ( 3-7 ) from the 14th Region

Bath Co. ( 6-4 ) from the 16th Region

The Bulldogs are led by Sophomore Tyler Maynard who is averaging 15.5 points per game, pulling down 5.8 rebounds and has dished out 51 assists on the season.

8th Grader Cody Maynard is scoring 13.3 points per game and his shooting 67% from the line.

Sophomore Chase Sartin is scoring 8.7 points per game and has hit 22-46 from three point range.

Junior big man Noah Fairchild is averaging 6.9 points per game and pulling down 6.7 boards per game.

After this tournament the Bulldogs will be off until after the first of the year when they travel to Raceland on Tuesday January 2, 2018 then Host Betsy Layne on Friday January 5 for a Boy/Girl doubleheader.

“… We are just going through a lot of growing pains and our youth and inexperience have shown the past 2 weeks. Hopefully we can get things figured out and get better as we enter the second half of the season.”
