Even though almost 25 games were moved up to Thursday night or to Saturday because of Hurricane Harvey, Lawrence Co. and Tolsia will both kickoff at 7:30 tonight as scheduled.

Lawrence Co. and Prestonsburg will play on turf so the weather shouldn’t impact the game too much. Tolsia and Buffalo will play on grass and with all of the rain today should make this game very interesting. Buffalo officials called early in the week and tried to get the game moved up to Thursday night to no avail.

Lawrence Co. vs Prestonsburg

Lawrence Co. ( 1-1 ) coming off a rout of Magoffin Co. 55-14 will travel and take on longtime nemesis Prestonsburg ( 0-1 ) at Blackcat stadium tonight. LC fell behind 14-6 before scoring 49 unanswered points to start a running clock on the Hornets.

Prestonsburg fell to North Laurel 28-6 in a game that was closer then the final score. Lawrence Co. won last year’s matchup at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial stadium 34-27 on October 28th.

Tolsia vs. Buffalo

Tolsia ( 0-1 ) will host Buffalo ( 0-1 ) at Wilts Salmons field in their first home game of the year after falling in the season opener at Wayne 30-6 even though the score was 8-6 with just under 10 minutes left in the game. Buffalo lost to a very good Coal Grove ( OH ) team 45-6 last Friday night.

The two teams haven’t met recently.
