DAWGS GET UNTRACKED IN 38-14 VICTORY OVER PERRY CENTRAL

Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 2-1 ) bounced back in a big way with a 38-14 victory over Perry Co. Central ( 2-1 ) Friday at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.

After being shutout last week and the first quarter, the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first when Cody Crum went in from one yard out with 9:58 left in the first half for a 6-0 Bulldog lead. 

Perry Central took a brief 7-6 lead when Noah Kilburn hauled in a 34 yard pass from Kizer Slone and Beau Bakun booted the extra point with 6:39 left in the first half. 

Lawrence Co. took the lead for good when Talon Pollack connected with freshman Kaden Johnson for a 44 yard touchdown and it was 12-7 Dawgs with 4:56 left in the half.

The Bulldogs made it 18-7 on an unbelievable 76 yard catch and run by Jake Derifield from Talon Pollack with 2:01 left before half.

Will McDavid plunged in from 1 yard out for the only score of the third quarter and it was 24-7 Lawrence Co. 

In the fourth quarter Pollack found freshman Carlo Chicko for a 23 yard and touchdown to make it 30-7 Bulldogs with 10:43 left in the game.

With 4:17 left in the game Pollack called his own number and raced in from 16 yards out and Dalton Runyons added the two point conversion to make it 38-7 Dawgs with 4:17 left. 

Perry Central set the final score of 38-14 on a Seth Jackson 3 yard run and Bakun tacked in the extra point with 42.7 seconds left. 

#12 Dalton Runyons trips up #10 Noah Kilburn in the Dawgs victory Friday. 

Lawrence Co. had 244 yards rushing Cody Crum led the way with 10 rushes for 103, Will McDavid had 72 yards on 14 attempts, Talon Pollock 7 for 32, Kaden Johnson 1 for 5 Caven Williams 4 for 32. 

Pollock was 10 of 14 for 218 yards passing.

Lawrence Co. receiving Kaden Johnson 2 for 47, Jake Derifield 1 for 76, Carlo Chicko 5 for 53, Logan Ratliff 2-42.

Lawrence Co. will be off next week before traveling to Harlan Co. to face the Black Bears who is 0-3 on the year on September 15th. 

Perry Co. Central will host Bell Co. ( 3-0 ) next Friday night.
