Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 6-12 ) avenged an earlier defeat to even their 58th District record at 1-1 with a 62-59 victory Friday night over Betsy Layne ( 6-8 ) at the Dawg House.

Tyler Maynard paced the Bulldogs with 24 points and 9 rebounds, Cody Maynard tallied 16 points, Chase Sartin chipped in with 9 points, Lucas Maynard had 6 points and 5 boards, Noah Fairchild finished with 6 points, and Alex Ratliff had 1 point.

The Dawgs hit 3 three pointers and went 9-18 from the line.

 

Dawg Sophomore Tyler Maynard had 47 points in two games last week against Raceland and Betsy Layne.

Raceland 72, LC 48

Worthington, Ky. — Last Tuesday night Lawrence Co. traveled to Raceland and fell 72-48 as the Rams hit almost 65% from the field. The Dawgs would trail by 20 after the first quarter.

Lawrence Co. Junior Noah Fairchild playing defense against Raceland. Tyler Maynard had 23 points and 6 rebounds, Chase Sartin chipped in with 7 points, Baden Gillispie tallied 6 points including the only three pointer the Bulldogs would hit, Noah Fairchild had 4 points and 7 boards, Alex Ratliff, Weston Hardin and Cody Maynard had 2 points each. LCHS hit 11-19 from the line.

Lawrence Co. will have two home games this week as the host Shelby Valley on Tuesday night and Tolsia on Saturday night.
