COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Proud of our guys’ effort, …was a great atmosphere for the games. I felt like we had a great game plan going in but when Cody went down that really changed things. He was doing a great job creating for others and being aggressive. He had 7 points in 7 minutes. Losing him as a player and a leader I felt like messed with our psyche a little.”

“… We were in the game first half but second half we kinda fizzled out and they asserted themselves. It’s hard to play from behind against Johnson Central. If you press and gamble they can spread you out and find holes and that’s what they did in the second half.”

“…The tournament was great. Four good teams that really got after it. Fun games to watch and good crowds. I love #RISEabove and what they do for our community.”

“… Having people come in and speak to the players about drug addiction was great for kids growing up in this area where it affects so many people.”

Great game on Thursday. The Dawgs were seedy. Shoutout to Chase Sartin who had 23 points and 13 rebounds for a double double.

Yes Chase played a great game as did some of the others. Seems as if in the town you don’t get mention no matter how good you play unless your last name starts with Mayn##. They are good players but they need the other guys as well. Chase and that Fairchild kid may not make any mentions in the papers but they are there top defence players in my opinion. Wish them good luck rest of season.
