Curtis Lee Evans

Curtis Lee Evans, 88, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky.

Curtis was born May 10, 1929 in Webb, WV a son of the late Harless and Grace Chaffin Evans. Curtis was retired from the N&W Railroad, he was of Freewill Baptist Faith and attended Peters Chapel Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Marie Copley Evans, and a son, Curtis Lee Evans Jr.; siblings, Harless Evans Jr., Ruby Williams, Lucille Mills, Maxine Fortham, Pauline Evans, and Lillian Dillon.

Survivors include, one son, James (Christine) Evans of Fort Gay, WV.; two daughters, Betty (Randy) Frasher of Fort Gay, WV.; Christine Evans of Martinsburg, WV; brothers, Jackie (Joyce) Evans of Col. Ohio; Clyde (Betty) Evans of Fort Gay, WV.; Larry (Debbie) Evans of Crum, WV; grandchildren, Kimberly Collie, Robbie Evans, James Frasher, Tammy Branham, Nancy Evans, Kathy McKenzie, David King, Frankie Evans, Melissa Saunders, James Saunders and Rebecca Saunders; 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Frasher Cemetery, Fort Gay, WV.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
