CNBC program “American Greed.” told the story of famed Kentucky Social Security disability attorney Eric Conn of Floyd County.

The Pikeville and Lexington newspapers covered Conn’s fall from grace — as he went from being a wealthy attorney and world traveler who was married multiple times to his conviction on Social Security fraud charges, his escape from home incarceration and finally his capture in Honduras after being on the run for six months.

At present, Conn is in the Grayson County Detention Center in Leitchfied awaiting trial later this year on escape charges. He’s already been sentenced to serve 12 years on the fraud charges and will face additional legal proceedings next year, the program said.
