Colonel E. Hardwick, 89, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018 following a sudden illness.

Colonel was born Oct. 13, 1929 at Fort Gay, the son of the late George and Rosa Crace Hardwick. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Judith Lycan Hardwick, his second wife Beulah Maynard Hardwick, nine brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter Anjelica Hardwick.

Colonel was a retired Government Employee with 32 years of service, a member of the Peters Chapel Church, and a United States Korean War Veteran.

Survivors include seven daughters Deborah A. Kraus of Cincinnati, OH, Pamela Jane Holbrook of Germantown, OH, Patricia Sue Howard of Dayton Ohio, Rita Kay Harness of Surprise, AZ, Kimberly Dawn Hardwick of Dayton, OH, Karen Jean Hardwick also of Dayton, OH, and Mary Elizabeth Parker of Fort Gay, WV; eight step children; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Nov. 17th at 11:00 am at the Peters Chapel Church with Rev. Darrin Fetherolf and Rev. Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Hardwick Cemetery Bromley Ridge Road Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
