Clyde Evans, 84, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Clyde was born January 14, 1938 in Webb, WV to the late Harless and Gracy Jane (Chaffin) Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children Barbara McGinnis and Brian Keith Evans; and siblings Harless Evans, Jr., Ruby Williams, Pauline Edwards, Lillian Dillon, Lucille Mills, Maxine Furdham, and Curtis Evans.

Clyde was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa and retired from Worthington School District in Columbus, OH.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Betty Evans; siblings Jack (Joyce) Evans of Columbus, OH and Larry (Debbie) Evans of Crum, WV; grandchildren Jon, Steven, Stephany, and Matthew; and great grandson Paul.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Evans and his family.
