Clyde Edward Holt, Jr., 76, of Fort Gay, WV passed on to his Heavenly home on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Clyde was born November 25, 1947 in Louisa, KY to the late Clyde Edward Holt, Sr. and Elwanda Joy Andrews Holt. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his siblings Lana Holt and Randy Holt.

Survivors that will cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years Linda Yates Holt; children, Terri White (Brad) and Bryan Holt (Sarah); grandchildren Shelley White and Sean White; and sisters Cindy Locke and Joy Jackson (Don).

Clyde was a retired school bus driver for the Lawrence County School System. He was proud to be a Mason and was a member of Apperson Masonic Lodge #195 in Louisa, KY. Clyde and Linda also enjoyed their association with the Wayne County Genealogical and Historical Society, where they were officers for a time. He was a devoted husband to Linda and loved his children and grandchildren. Clyde enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his family. He had a great sense of humor even to the very end, and was a kind and gentle soul.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mac Ray Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM until time of service. Masonic Funeral Services will be conducted by the Brothers of Apperson Masonic Lodge #195 at 1:45 PM.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Holt and his family.
