1932 – 2016

Clista K. McCoy, 83, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Clista was born December 7, 1932 in Blaine, Kentucky a daughter of the late Stant and Stella Josephine Moore Thompson. Clista was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess McCoy Jr.; siblings, Ellen McCoy, Fred Thompson and Valkie Eugene Thompson; sister in law, Alice Thompson.

Survivors include, two daughters, Judy (Thomas Sr.) Dalton of Louisa, Ky.; Josephine (William Kenneth) Spurlock of Catlettsburg, Ky.; four sisters, Bertha (Johnny) McKinster of Louisa, Ky.; Dovie (Roger)Spurlock of Louisa, Ky.; Lexie (Kenny) Phelpfrey of Paintsville, Ky.; Clorie Alice (Robert) George of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Gallie Lee Thompson of Paintsville, Ky.; 6 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Spencer Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Childers officiating. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery, Louisa, Kentucky.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
