Claudetta S. Johnson, 89, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Claudetta was born August 16, 1934 in Mahan, WV to the late William B. and Oakley Marie (Kitchen) Salter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Ray Johnson; and siblings Kenneth, Billie, Doris, Robert and JoAnn.

Claudetta was a retired rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service. She was a member of Garrett Chapel, Louise Chapter # 292 Order of the Eastern Star, Odd Fellows Lodge #270, Rebekah’s Lodge #95 of Louisa, Lawrence County Homemakers, Dennis Green Valley Homemakers, Lions Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Lawrence County Democratic Women’s Club.

Survivors include her children Shirley (Robert) Gribben, Billy Ed (Cindy) Johnson, Darrell (Renee) Johnson, and Terry Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and siblings Darrell Thomas Salter and Hobert L. Mack.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel, with Eastern Star Funeral Services at 7:00 PM.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Johnson and her family.
