Clarice D. Thompson 

1938 — 2016

Clarice D. Thompson , 77, of Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away Monday, September 19, 2016. She was born October 1, 1938 in Wayne County, West Virginia to Willard and Mabel (Robertson) Damron.

Clarice loved to draw, write poetry, do artwork, and work in her garden. She also adored her grandchildren. Clarice did secretarial and accounting work for CRT landscaping. She was a graduate of Fort Gay High School in West Virginia, a member of Elm St. Freewill Baptist Church in Shelby, and helped with the Community Action Program in Mansfield.

Clarice is survived by her daughter, Patricia C. (Ron) Conn of Mount Gilead; her son, Raymond D. (Christy) Thompson of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her three brothers, Keith, Bill (Doris), and Dennis Damron.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thompson; her son, Douglas Thompson; and two sisters Darlene Robinette and Geraldine Ferguson.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m officiated by Pastor Ron Conn. Burial will follow at Shauck Cemetery in Johnsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
