Clara Lucille Davis, 94, of Inez, Kentucky, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri, died peacefully March 31, 2020 at Martin County Nursing Home, Inez, Kentucky.

Mrs. Davis was born October 23, 1925, in Sullivan to Fred and Lucy (West) Bledsoe. She married Charles Arthur Davis on June 14, 1952.

After high school, Mrs. Davis worked for a time as office manager of the International Shoe Company factory in Sullivan. After raising her family, she worked at several department stores and at Meramec Shoe in Sullivan before retiring.

Mrs. Davis loved gardening, traveling with her husband, playing cards with family and friends and studying the Bible. She was a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Art, of Inez; three children Jan (Eugene) Vogelgesang of LaSalle, Illinois; Kaye (Terry) King of Louisa, Kentucky; and Gail (Kris) Copeland of West Palm Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Brad Vogelgesang, Ellen Prall, Tabitha Mund, Becky Copeland, Kathryn Copeland Grieve and Kelly Price and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Freddie” Bledsoe of Sullivan, Missouri.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Davis and her family.
