Mark,

(Via Messenger)

“…We need someone to look into whoever is making the traffic decisions in the Food City lot because they are sending a LOT of mixed signals. In one day I’ve seen almost 3 accidents and was even almost in one because people are used to it being a Right Only/ Left-Straight turn….and now, the markings BOTH indicate Straight/Turn lanes until you get to the line where it turns to a Left Only / Straight-Right…which not only seeds confusion but cuts out the right on red (which still must be legal because theres no sign marking it a ‘no turn’ on red), because of having to wait for people going straight.

I don’t know who made these marking decisions, but its a {censored} mess and is very likely to cause serious injury because of the half assed markings

What are you referring to? There isn’t anything different about the Food city plaza turn lane it is the same as usual. Just follow the traffic rules.

It is changed. Originally, the left lane coming out of Food City plaza was straight ahead or left-turn on green and the right lane was a right turn ( red or green ). Now, it is left lane left-turn only, right lane straight ahead or right-turn. No more right on red unless you are the only car there. Just more Lawrence County nonsense.

I love the new setup through town. It will greatly cut down on idiots passing those obeying the speed limit. That makes it safer for everyone.

The exit lanes at FC…thats backwards from how it was and how it normally is everywhere with a similar intersection. That needs to be fixed. Was Dementia Joe involved in this?
