Charlote Joyce Taylor McCreary

1947 — 2017

Charlote Joyce Taylor McCreary, 70, of Louisa, Kentucky went to rest peacefully with the Lord on August 1, 2017 in Community Hospice Care Center after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.

She was born on July 23, 1947 in Glasgow, Ky to the late Charles M and Joyce S. Taylor.  She was a dedicated member of the Louisa United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. One of her greatest attributions to the community was her involvement with her children and grandchildren.  From being a homeroom mother to a team mom and the biggest sideline cheerleader for all, Nana was not only significant to her family but also to many other friends throughout time.  She often said her greatest calling was to be a mom.

Charlote is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Sheldon McCreary; three beloved sons Ty McCreary (Jennifer), Michael McCreary (Keisha) and Chad McCreary (Caryn); and seven treasured grandchildren, Taylor, Cole, Cade, Carlyn, Cannon, Emily and Aubrey.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Louisa United Methodist Church, Louisa, KY with Pastors Guy Moyer and Dan Smith officiating.  Burial will be at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Friday, August 4 at Young’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Louisa United Methodist Church Building Fund or to Community Hospice Care Center.
