Charles Paul Maynard

1947 – 2016

Charles Paul Maynard, 69, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Kentucky.

Charles was born May 2, 1947 in Chatteroi, WV a son of the late Alex Dan and Garnett Hammond Maynard. Charles was a retired maintenance worker for Martin County Coal and also worked for Bob Crum’s Body Shop. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Danny Maynard Jr. who passed away in 2012, and was a member of Buchannon Chapel Church for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Sue Lee Maynard of Louisa, Ky.; one son, Michael L. Maynard of Louisa, Kentucky; grandson, Cody L. Maynard of Louisa, Kentucky; sisters, Patsy (Lonnie) Ratliff of Martin Co. Ky.; Cathy (Keith) Bradley of Louisa, Ky.; Ken Maynard also of Louisa, Ky.; A host of extended family and friends, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Workman and Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Hammond Cemetery, Clifford, Ky.

Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
