Charles L. Doty

1925 — 2018

Charles L. Doty, 92, of Louisa, KY, formerly of Heath, OH went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Charles was born May 1, 1925 to the late Elmer and Lula Doty. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and retired from the US Government Civil Service. He was a member of the Heath Church of Christ. Charles enjoyed cooking, especially Mexican food. He loved to garden and had a great passion for Big Band 1940’s music that he listened to every day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Doty and his daughter Cheryl Doty Johnson.

Survivors include his grandchildren Alex Johnson and Annie Johnson; brother and sister in law Roger and Jean Doty; niece Vicki Doty Prichard; nephew Vince (Pamela) Doty; and a very special great niece Aubrey Brooke Doty who he called his granddaughter.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, OH with Pastor Dave Mason officiating. Full military honors will be conducted.
