Celebrating Freedom: MLK Jr. ceremony on Jan. 16

ASHLAND, Ky. – Ashland Community and Technical College is proud to support the Boyd and Greenup County branch’s NAACP’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. event.

The event will be held Monday, January 16, 2023, at 10:30 A.M at the Ashland Transportation Center.

Pastor JD Cockrel of Christ Temple Church will be the keynote speaker.

A “Freedom March” will take place from Transportation Building to the First Presbyterian Church.

“We are thankful for all of the community partners that support this event,” said NAACP president, Al Baker. “Each year, the NAACP celebrates the achievements of Dr. King and we hope the community will come out to join us to honor Dr. King’s life and accomplishments at this year’s ceremony.”

Sponsors include Ashland Community and Technical College, Ashland Independent Schools, Ashland Transportation Center, City of Ashland, First Presbyterian Church, Ohio University Southern, and Pathways, Inc. For more information, contact Baker by emailing alvin.baker@kctcs.edu.

Please research David Garrows (Pulitzer prize-winning)essay on MLK jr. It reveals MLK jr.’s sexual misconduct, extramarital affairs, orgies, solicitation of prostitutes, and the allegation that he was present during a violent rape of a Maryland churchgoer. All this came to light during the FBI taping of Kings phone calls. A columnist for Standpoint, Micheal Mosbacher, who published the essay saying that King is the Harvey Weinstein of the civil rights movement. The records associated with this information are scheduled to be released and unsealed in 2027. Yet we build gigantic statues for him. Maybe ACC should do a little more research before the celebration. Where is the Me Too Movement?

How about just Grabbing them by the Cat
Or having sex with a porn star when your wife is pregnant and then pay her to be quiet right before the 2016 election

Or burying your first wife on the first hole of your golf course so you won’t have to pay property taxes
