SUSPECT WAS COMMUNICATING WITH AT LEAST TWO JUVENILES IN ROWAN COUNTY IN ATTEMPT TO HAVE SEXUAL ENGAGEMENTS, WHILE ALSO TRYING TO GET ONE OF THE JUVEILIES TO RECRUIT OTHER UNDERAGE YOUTH TO HAVE SEX WITH HIM

CAME LOOKING FOR SOME CARNAL & DIRTY TREATS ON HALLOWEEN, BUT GOT NABBED WITH A LEGAL SNEAKY TRICK BY POLICE INSTEAD: GREGORY ROSE, 57, OF GRAYSON, KY., WHO WAS ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED CHILD SEX EXPLOITATION IN ROWAN COUNTY.

A Carter County man found himself in deep hot water on Halloween day, when he thought was getting himself some dirty treats; but instead he ended up finding he got ensnared in a bad trick via law enforcement.

 

According to a press release on November 2 from the Kentucky State Police, Post 8, in Morehead, in Rowan County, KSP detectives on October 31 arrested Gregory Rose, age 57, of Grayson, Kentucky, in Carter County

 

According to the KSP Post 8 arrest report, their detectives obtained information that Gregory Rose was attempting to have a sexual relationship with a juvenile who is residing in Rowan County. 

 

Kentucky State Police detectives undercover spoofed communicated with Gregory Rose through electronic devices. 

 

While investigating the first incident, detectives also obtained information that Gregory Rose was attempting to have a sexual relationship with another juvenile who is residing in Rowan County. 

 

KSP Detectives learned through the investigation Gregory Rose was attempting to use one of the juveniles to recruit other juveniles to have sexual relationships with him. 

 

KSP Post Morehead contacted the Carter County Sheriff Department and the Grayson Police Department located Gregory Rose and arrested him. The KSP detectives came and took custody of Gregory Rose, where they transported him to and lodged him in the Rowan County Detention Center.  

 

Gregory  Rose was charged with one count of: *Promoting Human Trafficking (Victim Under 18 Years of Age), and two counts of: *Prohibited Use of Electronic Communication Systems to Procure a Minor Regarding Sex Offenses, two counts.

 

Gregory Rose had his bail hearing on Monday morning, November 2, where a judge set his bond at $15,000; but at half full cash ($7500), that Gregory Rose could post in order to be released; which he did later on Monday, and was let out of the Rowan County Detention Center.

 

This child sex exploitations incident case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead.

BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED BY KENTUCKY STATE POLICE SEX CRIME UNIT FOR CHILD SEX EXPLOITATION CHARGES

SUSPECT FACING FOUR FELONY OFFENSES ALL RELATED TO POSSESSING SEX ABUSE MATERIAL

CHILD SEX PERVERT ALERT: JAMES THOMAS RICHARD JR., 33, OF WESTVIEW, KY., ARRESTED BY KSP CHILD SEX CRIMES UNIT FOR ALLEGEDLY POSSESSING & DISTRIBUTING CHILD SEX MATERIAL.

A Breckinridge County man was was arrested yesterday by the Kentucky State Police in connection to for having child sex exploitation materials.

According to a press release statement from the KSP Post 4 in Elizabethown, Kentucky; on November 4, 2020, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested James Thomas Richard Jr., 33, of Westview, Ky., on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

James Thomas Richard Jr. was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Westview, Ky., on November 4, 2020. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation in this is ongoing.

James Thomas Richard Jr. is currently charged with one count of *Distribution of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance, and three counts of *Possession of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance. These charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison each; for a potential total of four to twenty years in state prison.

James Thomas Richard Jr. was transported & lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center. No bond has been set for James Thomas Richard Jr. at this time.

The mission of the ICAC Task Force, created by the United States Department of Justice and administrated by the Kentucky State Police, is to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in developing a response to cyber enticement and child sexual abuse material investigations. This support encompasses forensic and investigative components, training and technical assistance, victim services, prevention and community education. The ICAC program was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the heightened online activity of predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.
