Carolyn Sue Ratcliff, 71, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022.

She was born August 31, 1950 in Louisa, KY to the late Herbert and Elizabeth (Doss) Wellman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Matthew Wellman.

Carolyn was a member of Big Hurricane Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and dearly loved her family.

Survivors include her husband Goodwin Ratcliff; children Christopher (Eunice) Ratcliff, Clifton (Lori) Ratcliff; and Chrissie (Stacy) Waller; grandchildren Lexi Ratcliff, Evan Ratcliff, Jared Ratcliff, Logan Ratcliff, Jamie Waller, Wes Waller, and Eastley Waller; great grandchildren Johnathan Ratcliff, Brynley Waller, Braxton Waller, Tate Waller, and Easton Waller; siblings Elizabeth Ann (Jim Bob) Bellomy, Herb (Joyce) Wellman, Jr., Jackie (Loretta) Wellman, Frank (Trudy) Wellman, Penny (Robert) Cyrus, Melvin Wellman, Doug (Lynne) Wellman, Harriet (Herb) Perry, and Terry (Janet) Wellman; “special son” Andy Carson; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will  be conducted Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tony Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 after 6:00 PM at Young Funeral Home.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Ratcliff and her family.
