See, Cordle register for re-election
LOUISA, Ky. — Candidate filings have begun for the non partisan races to be held in November.
County Clerk Chris Jobe reported that in addition to John Nolan, who signed up to run for Louisa City Council on June 30, Ron Cordle has also registered as a candidate for city council.
In addition, James “Jim” See has registered to run for re-election for Board of Education position in District 2 (Springhill, Adams, Brushy, Point Section, and Stella Moore.)
Six Louisa City Council seats are up for election on November 8. Three School Board Districts are open. Dist. #2 (currently held by Jim See) includes Springhill, Adams, Brushy, Point, Stella Moore, Dist. #4 (currently held by Heath Preston) includes West Louisa, East Louisa, Meadowbrook and Dist. #5 (currently held by Barbara Robinson) includes Buchanan, Fallsburg, and Deephole.
The City of Blaine will appear on the Ballot also.
The Filing deadline is August 9th 2016 at 4:00 pm.
