Burnard Johnson 

1944 — 2018

 

Burnard Johnson 74 of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday Feb. 28, 2018 following a long illness.

Burnard was born Jan. 27, 1944 at Wheelwright, KY the son of the late Decker and Sillar Hall Johnson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Johnson who died in 2016, a sister Betty McKenzie and a brother Kay Johnson. Burnard was a retired welder with Booth Energy and a member of the Favored United Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Shelley Phelps and husband Paul of Louisa, a son Darren Johnson and wife Stephanie also of Louisa; five grandchildren Damon Phelps, Tristan Johnson, Trey Phelps, Maci Pollock, and Talan Pollock; three brothers Maynard Johnson, John Wayne Johnson, and Paul Johnson; two sisters Fayette Pigg and Phyliss Bishop; and special niece and nephew James Pollock and Marcia Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Elders Bobby Mollette Jr., A.J. Williamson, Ronald Mills, and Bro. Ira Preston officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
