Dani Crum homered at Greenup Co. and Floyd Central. 

Dani Crum and Taylor Blevins homered in the Dawgs five inning road victory.

Graci Preece had an outstanding week at the plate. 

Gracie Preece continued her hot hitting with three hits including two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored, Kensley Feltner had three hits including a double, drove in four runs and scored three times, Crum also tripled and doubled, drove in two runs and scored three times, Abby Nelson collected three hits including a double and drove in two, Allie Triplett had two hits and scored three times, Shelby Blevins singled and drove in two runs, Bree Jones singled and scored once, Ella Fitzpatrick singled, Leah Branham and Emalyn Kitts scored a run each.

Taylor Blevins went five innings to get the win in the circle.

Taylor Blevins threw a no-hitter versus Prestonsburg and homered at Floyd Central.

Taylor Blevins fired a five inning no-hitter with eleven strikeouts and only walked one Blackcat, she also singled.

Kensley Feltner homered and doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice, Gracie Preece doubled, drove in three runs and scored once, Ella Fitzpatrick had two hits and two runs batted in, Abby Nelson doubled and drove in a run, Bree Jones doubled, drove in one and scored once, Dani Crum singled, drove in one and scored once, Shelby Blevins and Allie Triplett singled and scored a run, Jaylee Maxie and Abby Maynard scored a run.

Lawrence Co. 4 Greenup Co. 1 ( Saturday )

Dani Crum hit a home run and Allie Triplett went 4 and 2/3 innings to get the victory. Taylor Blevins closed it out to get the save and doubled to help her cause.

Gracie Preece collected three hits and drove in two runs, Bree Jones had two hits and scored twice, Abby Nelson had two hits, Shelby Blevins tripled, Emalyn Kitts scored a run.

The Dawgs will travel to Coal Grove, Ohio on Saturday afternoon to face Green and Dawson Bryant at 1:00 and 3:00.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… It was good to get another District win at home versus Prestonsburg. The girls adjusted well to the pitching. We have been preaching all year about making adjustments with the different style of pitching we see. Also had a good effort Saturday at Greenup Co. Seemed like the bats got going a little and that was good to see . As we get close to the end of the season we need to get in shape. This coming week will be busy for sure but that’s just gives us more opportunities to get better!”
