Youth League and LMS win in fine fashion

Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. Football had a banner day at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium as the Bulldogs went 3-0 with the Youth Leaguers sweeping Tolsia Saturday morning and the Middle Dawgs beating Greenup Co. Saturday night.

Lawrence Co. 30 Tolsia 0 ( D Team )

In the first game of the day the Dawgs shutout the Rebels in TSYFL action. Kolt Thompson scored on a 40 yard touchdown and Travis Cook added the 2 point conversion.

Dawson Kitts scored from 55 yards out and Thompson hit Gaige Muncy for the 2 point conversion. Max Murriel raced in for a 25 yard touchdown and Thompson hit Muncy for the 2 point conversion.Muncy added a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown as well.

Lawrence Co. 46 Tolsia 0 ( C Team )

In the second game of the day the Dawgs once again defeated the Rebels.

Mitchell Frazier, Gray Derifield, and Jayce Dunn scored touchdowns and Skylar Fetherolf, Brayden Davis, and Brennan Blankenship tacked on 2 point conversions for the Bulldogs.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I thought we played really well coming off of our loss to C.K. last week. Our kids responded with a good victory over a good Tolsia team.”

“… Another tough one coming this Saturday against D.C. I think it will be a good game.”

The Bulldogs were playing with a heavy heart after the news of Dustin Chicko passing but played hard for teammate Luis and cane away with an impressive victory on 8th grade night as running back William McDavid scored 3 touchdowns two from 50 yards out and caught a 40 yard strike from Quarterback Talon Pollock.

Pollock also scored on the ground.

Blake Prater added several 2 point conversions. Pollock completed a two point conversion pass to Logan Ratliff.

The Bulldog defense added a safety for good measure.
