BROWN STEALING FROM BROWN’S LAWRENCE GRAND JURY CHARGES

EMPLOYEE CHARGED BY LAWRENCE CO., KY. GRAND JURY WITH STEALING OVER $11,000 FROM LOCAL BUSINESS

LOUISA, Ky. — A Lawrence County grand jury issued six indictments on February 9. Of note is Will Brown  being charged with theft by deception. He allegedly issued fuel receipts that didn’t reflect monetary refunds that he received with the intent to defraud Brown’s Food Service of approximately $11,628.31.

Commonwealth vs. Jonah Skaggs

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 14, 2022 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Jonah Skaggs committed the offense of burglary in the third degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in property, namely an outbuilding owned by Amanda Couch of Lowmansville, Ky with the intent to commit the crime of theft.

2. Jonah Skaggs committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a scheduled I controlled substance, Heroin.

3. Jonah Skaggs committed the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered pipe containing chemical residue.

4. Jonah Skaggs committed the offense of resisting arrest by knowingly, intentionally and unlawfully attempting to prevent police officers from Lawrence County Sheriff office from effecting an arrest by using or threatening to use, physical force against said police officers.

 

Commonwealth vs. Joshua Pruitt

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or about December 15, 2022 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Joshua Pruitt committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 0.125 grams of Methamphetamine, individual baggies, scales, and syringes with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in that approximately 0.125 grams of Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. Wallace Kazee
The Grand Jury charges that on or about August 29, 2022 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Wallace Kazee committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $1000 (auto) by knowingly and unlawfully taking a Buick SUV owned by Margaret Kazee of Louisa, Ky with a value of approximately $8000.

2. Wallace Kazee committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle on suspended or revoked license by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle while his license to operate said motor vehicle had been suspended or revoked.

 

Commonwealth vs. Danielle Robertson 
The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 15, 2022 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Danielle Robertson committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Danielle Robertson committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered glass pipe with chemical residue and scale containing chemical residue.

3. Danielle Robertson committed the offense of prescription not in proper container by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Gabapentin without it being in its properly administered container.

 

Commonwealth vs. Joseph Berry 
The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 15, 2022 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Joseph Berry committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Joseph Berry committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of syringes and individual baggies.

 

Commonwealth vs. Will Brown 
The Grand Jury charges that on or about November 8, 2021 in Lawrence Co, Ky, the above named defendant:

 

1. Will Brown committed the offense of theft by deception over $10,000 by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in a course of conduct that deprived and defrauded Brown’s Food Service of Louisa, Ky of $11,628.31 by issuing fuel receipts that did not reflect monetary refunds that he received, with the intent to defraud Brown’s Food Service of approximately $11,628.31.
