BACKSTABBER?!

LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR FELONY ASSAULT AFTER ‘STABBING’ HIS BROTHER WITH SMALL KNIFE

APRIL 25, 2018 – written by WADE QUEEN

DAVID R. FALLS

A Lawrence County man was arrested over the late part of this past weekend after a case of sibling rivalry went into the extreme, and allegedly unlawful territory.

According to a report from the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, on the early evening of Sunday, April 22, Lawrence County E911 received a report of a domestic assault situation near Louisa, resulting with an injury via a weapon.

When deputies arrived on the incident scene, they reported that a man had stabbed his own brother in the back with a knife after an altercation between David R. Falls, 47, of Louisa, and his brother.

Deputies say Falls allegedly punched his brother in the mouth and the two started fighting. The two started rolling around on the ground and that’s when Falls allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed his brother in the back.

Deputies say Falls’ brother (whose name has not been released), had a “small mark” on his back and a busted mouth when they arrived at the scene.

David R. Falls was arrested by Lawrence County Chief Deputy Mark Wheeler and was charged with • ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE, a class B felony, which carries sentence punishment of 10 to 20 years in prison.

Falls was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, where he remains incarcerated as of Wednesday morning, April 25.
