 Brenda Kirk Short 

1947 –2016

Brenda Kirk Short 69 of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday Nov. 3, 2016 at the Community Hospice Care Center following a long illness.

Brenda was born March 31, 1947 at Warfield, KY the daughter of the late Tom and Virginia Kirk. She was a former substitute teacher and attended the Community Fellowship Church.

Survivors include her husband Bill L. Short, two daughters Tonya Dingess-Castle and spouse Kelly of Paintsville, KY and Crystal Rowe and husband Paul of Fort Gay, WV; a son Jimmy Dingess II of Louisa; twelve grandchildren Zachary Dingess, Kaitlyn Dingess, Luke Dingess, Caleb Dingess, Gregory Ramey, Cassie Blanton, Ashton Marcum, Hope Marcum, Chase Harris, Paisley Rowe, and Brantley Rowe; two sisters Glenda Yvonne Runyon and Donna Horn both of Louisa; and two brothers John Kirk of Hagerhill, KY and Tom Kirk Jr. of Louisa.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday Nov. 6th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rick May and Rev. John Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday Nov. 5th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and also on Sunday from 10:00 am until the time of services at Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
