2.A.  Approve to appoint an individual to fill the unexpired term for the board member vacancy for District #4 as of December 31, 2022, with the resignation of D. Heath Preston, with the unexpired term set to end on December 31, 2024, pursuant to KRS 160.190 and Board Policy 01.3 

2.B.  Swearing in of District #4 School Board Member

2.C.  Approve to acknowledge District #4 board member receipt of 1) The Kentucky Open Records & Open Meeting Acts: A Guide for the Public and Public Agencies, Office of the Attorney General, June 2022; 2) Managing Public Records, Revised August 2015; and 3) Policy 01.44 Special-Called Meetings and Procedure 01.44 AP.21 Request to Receive Special Meeting Notification by Email

3. COMMUNICATION/SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

3.A. Dr. Fletcher spoke at a press conference in the Capitol Rotunda on behalf of the Coalition to Sustain the Education Profession, including the topic of teacher pay and the recommendations of the Coalition.   

3.B. Dr. Fletcher attended a Teams Meeting with Senate and House Leadership to discuss priorities of this legislative session.  

3.C. Dr. Fletcher served as chair of the Local Superintendent Advisory Council to discuss recommendations to the Commissioner and to the Kentucky Board of Education on proposed regulations.

4. STUDENT LEARNING AND SUPPORT SERVICES

4.A. Approve Claims and Orders of the Treasurer

4.B.1. Approve per diem and expenses for members in attendance 

4.B.2. Contracts/Services: 

4.B.2.a. Approve DC Elevator annual price adjustment for Job No. 04A-00551 Louisa East Elementary School, effective February 1, 2023, adjusted to $206.26 which reflects an increase of $9.82 

4.B.3. Fundraisers: BES, LCHS, LEES 

4.B.4. Out of State Trip Request:  LCHS Tennis Team to sporting event over Spring Break; April 2 to April 5, 2023; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Joey McClanahan and Sarah Simpson

Consideration and possible action/approval of Lawrence County Schools District Facility Plan Hearing Report (January 26, 2023) and approval to submit the final Lawrence County School District Four-Year Facility Plan, as approved by the Lawrence County Schools Local Planning Committee, to the Kentucky Department of Education

4.D. LCHS BG: 22-146 Vocational Education Center (LAVEC) Renovation & Expansion Discuss/approve an investment schedule for $9 million dollars of the LAVEC grant to be administered by Ross Sinclaire & Associates
