Bulldog Head Coach Travis Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… We have only put two 7th graders on the mound, Chandler Shepherd in 2006 and Bryce Blevins this year. To be that young he has unbelievable composure out there. He got hit early in the leg and it never affected him, he bounced right off the mound and threw the runner out and was sharp the whole way. Didn’t walk a batter and only allowed two hits. Real nice effort from him. He has really nice to stuff, good enough to get high school hitters out, his command is spot on. He is a strike throwing machine. Has only walked two on the season.”

“…I thought our defense played well, missing Peyton Cyrus was huge and took us some time to adjust with guys playing out of position.” Hunter Crum and Tyler Maynard our 8-9 hitters were big tonight and Austin Roe with a clutch bases loaded two out single.”

Bulldog 7th Grader Bryce Blevins

“… My curveball was working and then I lost it, finally got my fastball toward the end. Jarrett Fairchild made a couple nice plays and the defense was good.” Getting the start tonight gives me confidence because it shows that my coaches have the confidence to go with me in such a huge game.”
