The Blaine Elementary Dance Team recently won first place in the elementary dance category at the Southeast Classic Cheer and Dance Competition hosted by Johnson Central High School.
The solo dance winner was Shawn Weston Thacker and the duo team winners were Kimberly Fugitt and Bella Griffith.
Members of the Blaine Dance Cats team also placed first in the solo dance and duo dance categories. It was the team’s first competition.
Their coach is Jennifer Lawson-Ferguson and their assistant coach is Brittany Stepp.
