Billy Alden Dean, 80, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

Billy was born July 20, 1942 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Bill Lemaster and Ethel Dean Pennington.

Billy was a member of Tabors Creek Church and retired from Novamont after 35 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Jean Dean; daughter Barbara Hardin; and siblings Almeda Holland, Kay Dean Lester, Vinnie Pennington Inman, Gabe Pennington, and Russell Pennington.

Survivors include his children John (Judy) Robinette, Debbie Walker, Robin Jordan, Reta (Marcus) Wilson, and Veronica Dean; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; siblings Roger Pennington, Donny Pennington, Tom Pennington, Judy Pennington Patton, and Vickie Pennington Couch; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denny Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Dean Family Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home and Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service int the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

The  family would like to thank Bluegrass Hospice of Lexington for all the love and care shown to Mr. Dean.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Dean and his family.
