Big third quarter leads Crum to victory over Fort Gay in middle school action

Fort Gay, W. Va. — Crum completed the regular season sweep of Fort Gay 50-38 on Monday in Wayne Co. Boys Basketball action.

Bryson Muncy helped Crum to the victory over Rival Fort Gay.

 

Crum 8th Grader Bryson Muncy scored 11 points in the decisive third quarter as the Mountaineers out scored the Vikings 21-9.

Fort Gay 8th Grader Josh Hofmeister hit 4 three pointers and finished with 15 points to lead the Vikings, Cole Jordan tallied 12 points, Evan Ball 5 points, Wesley Slone 4 points and Peyton Marcum 2 points.

The Vikings hit 5 three pointers and went 8 of 18 from the free throw line.

Muncy led Crum with 14 points, Cameron Perkins tallied 13 points, Bray Mollette hit 2 three pointers for 10 points, Parker Watts 6 points, Bradee Vance 2 points, Luke Williamson 1 point.

The Mountaineers hit 3 three pointers and went 5 of 15 from the free throw line.

Fort Gay will visit Wayne on Thursday and Crum will host Vinson the same night.
