Betty Lou Blevins

1928 — 2017

Betty Lou Blevins, age 89, formerly of Betsy Layne, KY, widow of Orville Blevins, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Edgewood Estates, Frenchburg, KY.

She was born April 6, 1928 in Weeksbury, KY, a daughter of the late Michael “Doc” and Dana Thompson Fraley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville, Homemakers Association of Floyd County and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons; Stephen Michael (Kathy) Blevins, Morehead, KY and Stuart Thomas Blevins, Louisa, KY, four grandchildren; David Thomas (Loni) Blevins, Elizabeth Ann Blevins, Thaddeus Lee (Rachel) Blevins and Logan Grant Blevins and two great grandchildren; William and Conrad Blevins.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one-daughter-in-law; Wanda Blevins, four brothers; Ray, Paul E., Jack D., and Glenn T. Fraley and two sisters; Delphine Lee and Jo Ann Boyd.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Badgett officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY.

Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
