Betty (Kitts) Thompson, 76, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at her home.

Betty was born June 7, 1945 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Wayne and Eula (Jackson) Kitts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Billy Kitts, Ralph Kitts, and Joe Kitts; and daughter in law Lou Ann Thompson.

Betty was a member of Rush Branch Church. She loved listening to bluegrass music and her greatest joy was her family. She loved to cook for them and take care of them.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years Elmer Ray Thompson; children Wayne Harlan (Jolene) Thompson, Justin Thompson, Teddy (Vickie) Thompson, and Elmer Ray (Dawn Andi) Thompson, Jr.; grandchildren Melissa (Rome), Jesse (Amanda), Ashley, Chelsea, Victoria, and Olivia; great grandchildren Austin, Dillan, Rilynn, Maci, Hunter, Nora, and Jaxson; and siblings Lois Kitts, Doris Jean Robinson, Tom Kitts, Jim Kitts, Bobby Kitts, and Patty Lycans.

There will be no public services at this time.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Thompson and her family.
