Bennie Bowen, III, 58, of Fort Gay went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Bennie was born in Louisa, KY to Bennie and Mary Belle Bowen. He was preceded in death by his mother; sisters Delphia Trout and Renee Bowen; and brothers Paul Bowen and Jeff Bowen.

Bennie was baptized and attended New Friendship Church. He was a Carpenter and a member of the “Big Gut Club”. Bennie loved to ride his Harley, to hunt, and to fish.

Survivors include his father Bennie Bowen, II; wife Norma Bowen; children Marsha (Todd) Davis, Liss (Shawnee) Bowen, April Bowen and Samantha Scott; grandchildren Kira Bowen, Brady Davis and one on the way; sisters Rhonda (Randy) Robinson and Loretta Parsons; and special friends Danny Scott and Eddie Freeman.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bowen-Salem Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Bowen and his family.
