COACH’S COMMENT
” First game was a tough one, Murray pitcher was good, he located well and kept us off balance couldn’t scratch anything after the first inning and put any pressure on them.” Fell apart in that one inning and our defense didn’t help matters.” Guys showed me something in the second game, I told them after the first one that we needed to answer and they did that a couple times vs a good Marshall Co. team. Drake pitched well and competed it was a good win for us going into a day off.”
Lawrence Co. Senior Drake Barager
” Felt more confident after my team got three runs in the first.” I let them tie it up in the fifth but I knew my team would answer and give me the lead back.” Little nervous in the seventh but worked out if the bases loaded jam and we hit the victory.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It’s really good that we are not laying down against these {tough} teams, proud of them we just beat a good team, a win is a win.” We are trying to be aggressive on the bases and sometimes we will get runners thrown out but that puts pressure on the other team to make perfect plays.” Wind was a big factor today it benefited them early and us late so we will take it.” Been challenging our seniors all year to step up and that was big for McKenzie to get the two out hit in that situation.” Good win for us today.” Will be another challenge tomorrow,”
