Barry Gene Runyon

1947 — 2018

Barry Gene Runyon, 70, of Louisa, KY passed away August 2, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Runyon was born December 19, 1947 to the late Bradford and Theodora Runyon of Paintsville, KY formerly of Pikeville, KY. He was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Jace McNeil Rowland and brother, Brian Runyon.

Mr. Runyon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay McNeil Runyon, son David (Stephanie) Runyon, daughters, Julie (Jason) Rowland of Lawrenceburg, KY and Jamie Runyon Derifield of Lawrenceburg, KY, . He was Pops to to his beloved grandchildren, Taylor Shepherd and Hayden Derifield. He is also survived by two brothers, Brad and Burton Runyon, and a sister, Bradora Plummer.

Mr. Runyon was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa, KY where he served as Deacon and previously as Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher. He was a retired Coal Operator in partnership with his brother, Brian.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Louisa with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 6-9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
