SATURDAY over 120 ARC clients and employees declared that addiction is losing in Louisa.

Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) has already declared that “addiction is losing in Louisa.” In Saturday’s SeptemberFest parade, they proudly demonstrated that. Over 120 ARC staff, interns, and clients walked proudly in a display of unity and as a sea of blue representing multiple facets of the Addiction Recovery Care network, including Sanibel men’s center in Catlettsburg, Karen’s Place women’s center in Louisa, Karen’s Place Maternity Center in Louisa, Louisa Outpatient Counseling Center, Educational and Career Services, Corporate Services, and the ARC Corporate Office.

Matt Brown, Chief of Staff to the CEO of ARC was part of the group. After the parade he said, “Four years ago I didn’t want to go to the SeptemberFest because I was worried about how people would look at me because of my addiction. Today I was able to walk proudly with over 120 people declaring that addiction is losing in Louisa. The love and compassion that poured out in the streets of Louisa Saturday morning during the parade was unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced.”

Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) provides a full continuum of addiction treatment – from crisis intervention through to residential, transitional and outpatient care – across a network of 30 treatment facilities primarily in central and eastern Kentucky. With nearly 200 of its 400 employees themselves in recovery, ARC lives out its mission of restoring lives by combining drug treatment with job skills development programming that leads to second chance employment for those in treatment. ARC has four pillars of care – medical, clinical, vocational, and spiritual. ARC believes that everyone should have the opportunity to discover their God-given destiny.

If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, please call Addiction Recovery Care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 606.638.0938 or visit them online at www.arccenters.com.

There is hope. There is help.

I pray for many more recovery stories. I watched sadly as a generation of young people fell into the drug trap. Some of those same people died before they got out. I am so happy there is help and that there is HOPE. God bless.
