Alta Lou McKinzie, 86, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Mrs. McKinzie was born September 7, 1934 in Fort Gay, West Virginia to the late Andrew and Blanche Sparks Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee McKinzie, one daughter, Rebecca (Tim) Rucker, and one brother, Archie Perry.

She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Richard) Dotson, Athena Copley, and Margaret McKinzie; three sisters, Mary Damron, Andarena Noe, and Karin Borders; one brother, Franklin Perry; six granddaughters, Sara (Nathan) Fields, Mary (Matthew) Shannon, Amanda (Tyler) Maynard, Courtney (Mark) Rosenberg, Meg (Josh) Grimmett, McKinzie Rucker; three grandsons, Todd Omasta, Lee (Teresa) Dotson, and Ross Lycan; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was a Retired Licensed Practical Nurse for Louisa Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Preston officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 1 from 6-9 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
