Adrienne Wright Moore Lewis, 87, died Friday, December 11, 2020, after a brief illness.

Born October 29, 1933, in Louisa, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Nona and Homer Wright. She was predeceased by a sister, Winnie Wright Ball, and three brothers, Chesley, Clifford and Homer (Jr.) Wright. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Craig Moore, and both of her husbands, Vinson “Dee” Moore and Dr. Bernal Lewis.

Adrienne was a graduate of Louisa High School and married Dee Moore in 1952. After living in Ohio for a brief period, they returned to Louisa where they became the owners and operators of Dee’s Drive Inn and a number of other successful businesses. They moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in the mid-1980s, where Adrienne continued her restaurant experience by serving as the daytime manager of the Sea Captain’s House restaurant.

A few years after the death of Dee Moore in Myrtle Beach in 2003, Adrienne returned to Louisa and married Dr. Bernal Lewis. During her final years in Louisa, Adrienne was well known for her faithful attendance at First Baptist Church and the Rotary Club, and for fixing her famous hot dog sauce and slaw for anybody who asked.

Survivors include a son, Vince Moore, and his wife, Deborah, of Greenville, S.C.; granddaughters April Chandler of Sterling, Va., Christina Moore of Little River, S.C., Dustin Moore of Greenville, S.C., Madison Moore of San Diego, Calif., and one grandson, Taylor Moore of Warsaw, Poland.

The family will hold a private service Sunday, Dec. 13 at First Baptist Church of Louisa. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m. and a graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Louisa.
