Junior Varsity team took care of Fairview on Monday 14-4.

Baseball Dawgs will return to action on Tuesday at Noon vs Greenwood ( 5-5 ).

GIRL’S SOFTBALL:  Ashland, Va. 5 Lawrence Co. 2 ( Monday )

The Lady Dawgs fell behind early on their first game of the Cal Ripken experience and couldn’t recover against a team out of Bristol. The Lady Dawgs defense let them down as Ciana Bowen only gave up two hits and struck out ten batters. Brittney Shapaka had a two run triple that scored Haleigh Peck who tripled and Halli Caudill who singled in front of Shapaka for the Lady Dawgs only runs of the game. Keyeraha Bowen and Abby Fletcher both had singles.

Junior Varsity team beat Fairview 15-7 on Monday afternoon.

Lawrence Co. ( 2-4 ) will return to action and play Fern Creek ( 6-9 ) Tuesday afternoon at 3:00.

Bulldogs Baseball Head Coach Travis Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… We completed quite well and pitched Ok. Thought Sword pitched well and we threw the guys that hadn’t pitched much, couple of them got themselves in trouble with walks and then we booted it around a little too. We aren’t good enough to do that against really good teams. We have zero margin for error.”
