Traffic Advisory: Temporary Closure of KY 3396 in Lawrence County for Pipe Replacement

Closed 8-2:30 Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Five Forks

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (Aug. 12, 2022) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will temporarily close part of KY 3396 (Five Forks Road) in Lawrence County on Tuesday to replace a failing drainage pipe under the roadway.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, crews will close KY 3396 a tenth of a mile from the KY 3 intersection (milepoint 2.3) at Five Forks to dig through the roadway and replace the pipe.

The road will remain closed there until 2:30 p.m., or until work is complete. Motorists may detour using KY 3 and US 23, or other routes.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
