We are all one…

By Heath Preston

It’s time to put an end to a blown out of proportion situation.  We are all one. I was attacked assuming my decision was political,  and retaliation, it was not. I was never contacted by anyone from any political office, board members from any organization or our own employees.  I responded to attacks on my social media, on social media. I did not issue any press release or ask for it to be put on any platform, until now.

Hard decisions are being made every day, sometimes we agree, sometimes we don’t. But true leadership comes up with solutions,  not fights.

Again, no one ever contacted me to find a solution, only assumptions were made.  So, I would like to open the lines of communication, moving forward.

I have no issues with the Fair, actually I think they did a pretty great job this year. I wasn’t able to attend this year but from the pictures it looked great. Hot air balloon – Awesome! Kids smiling – Awesome! So, thank you to the fair board.

So, what is the solution? Next year, I will ask the board to sponsor the fair, especially in those areas where our students are involved. At the end of the day, EVERYONE wants to help our kids and our community as much as possible, in EVERY WAY possible. As long as it is legal, by policy, safe for all, acceptable by our insurance company, and board approval, there should be no issue.

I am always available, always ready to talk, and always ready to help LC.

Next time, instead of assuming what I am doing……… just ask.

D. Heath Preston
ChairmanLawrence County Board of Education

Too late to try to save your a**!!! You made the decision, you pushed for it, you recommended the board deny the request (which is on video from the board meeting) so you are lying once again.
Why would you ask the board to deny the request for the buses if a request had not been made???? BUSTED DUDE!!!

      Exactly

???? Can you not read??? Where is it that he says the request had not been made?? I’ve read it several times nowhere does it say that. He says no one contacted him, I take it he meant to talk about it and work a solution. I don’t agree with him, but several are just making stuff up and making it worse.

I’m not feeling it Heath. You made yourself look foolish and this didn’t help a thing. Too little, too late.

Your political career is over in Lawrence County, not that you ever had one.
