Roger David Cyrus, 51, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home.

Roger was born July 5, 1971 in Detroit, MI to John and Virginia (Thompson) Cyrus, Jr.

Roger attended New Beginnings Community Church and was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Cyrus.

Surviving are his father John B. Cyrus, Jr.; children Tammy Lee Cyrus, Roger David Cyrus, Jr., and Robert Allen Cyrus; grandson Braylon Ray David Cyrus; siblings Virginia Hayward, John Edward (Matilda) Cyrus, and Karen Marie Perry; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Bailey and Rev. Noah Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cyrus Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 12:00 PM until time of service at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Cyrus and his family.
