Betty J. Hay, 97, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Betty was born May 2, 1925 in Ashland, KY to the late Lee and Dove (Ball) Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Remmele and Arthur Hay; brothers Lee Hayes, Jr. and Randall Hayes; and sisters Mildred McKinster, Maxine Kiessling, and Phyllis Jordan.

Betty loved people and she loved caring for people. She was a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church. Betty retired from First National Bank of Louisa and previously worked in the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office. She was also the owner of The Hay Barn.

Survivors include her children Mike (Kathy) Remmele and Joan Remmele; grandchildren Jennifer Betz, Jessica (Jason) Cole, and Jason Remmele; and great grandchildren Mackenzie Garbrandt and McKinley Betz.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on  Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Hay and her family.
