UPDATE: 1 – Saturday, June 4

With the deadline to run just three days away just three candidates have signed up to run for mayor, city council or BOE districts 1 and 3. County Clerk Chris Jobe said the following candidates have filed:

Filing As of June 2, 2022

LOUISA Mayor

Harold Slone
James Allen Pauley Barker

LOUISA City council

Robert Joey McClanahan

BOE District 1

BOE  District 3

Candidate registration for non-partisan offices in November has been set back from it’s usual August deadline to June 7 this year.

County Clerk Chris Jobe said Friday that he has not received any reminders for the public from state officials.

With the Memorial Day holiday coming so close, it is important that prospective candidates go to Jobe’s office and register for city council and mayor of Louisa and school board races.

Here’s the KRS on it.

Candidate filing deadline: last day to file any petition, certificate, statement, or nomination papers that must be filed by the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June preceding the election for the office sought WHICH THIS YEAR IS JUNE 7!!!

    To the administration.

    • Harold says:

Under the Biden administration, you can be anything you want to be. Something can be nothing and nothing can be something. Man can be a woman and get pregnant. A woman can be a man. There is no right or wrong amongst the liberals until you try to show them the truth. Then they lose it. According to liberal California, a bumblebee is now a fish. Google it. This country is swirling down the toilet under Biden and his puppeteers.

  7. John says:

    Run for mayor Heath Preston.

  8. Dave says:

I can’t find anywhere which party each of the candidates are affiliated with. Can someone tell me?

    • Admin says:

Dave, the city elections are non-partisan — meaning it doesn’t matter what party you are registered with.
