DEPUTIES CONDUCTED DRUG RAID AT THE END OF LAST WEEKEND ON THIS PAST LATE SUNDAY NIGHT

FIVE SUSPECTS FROM THREE STATES CAUGHT BY MAGOFFIN COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT AFTER DRUG RAID AT HOME JUST OUTSIDE OF SALYERSVILLE, KY.

SUSPECTS TOP TO BOTTOM

Minnie L. Johnson, 57, of Elk Creek Road, Salyerville, KY., was charged with: *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, *BUY/POSSESSION – DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED), *POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, *POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON.

Jennifer Renee Fletcher, 41, of Elk Creek Road, Salyersville, KY., was charged with: *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, *BUY/POSSESSION – DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Aireana Williams, 18, of Columbus, Ohio; was charged with: *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, *BUY/ POSSESSION – DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Marvin Hunter Jr., 28, of Pontiac, Michigan; was charged with: *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, *BUY/ POSSESSION – DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Kaylen Banta, 20, of Pontiac, Michigan; was charged with: *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, *BUY/ POSSESSION – DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

 

Five suspects were arrested Friday on felony drug charges following a raid at a home that was conducted by the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office during the previous weekend.

The quintuplet of drug suspects consisted of two Magoffin County women, an adult teenage woman from Ohio, and a pair of male suspects from Michigan.

According to a press release statement from the Magoffin County Sheriff Office, deputies went to serve a search warrant at a home on Elk Creek Road, near Salyersville, KY., at around 10:00 PM on Sunday night, February 27.

When they arrived there and as they entered the home, deputies searched and allegedly found three plastic bags of a white power, along with marijuana, empty bags, and eight guns.

No one of the five people at the home were said to be unwilling to have given police a statement; and so as a result, deputies arrested all five individuals, The names of the five suspects, address, and the charges that were were arrested for are listed above.

All five suspects were transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Center in Paintsville, KY., in Johnson County early Monday morning, February 28.

As of Friday night, March 4, all three women remained incarcerated at the jail; while Marvin Hunter Jr. posted his bond and was released from the BSRDC on Tuesday night, March 1, at 11:27 P.M., and Kaylen Banta posted his bond and was released from the BSRDC on Wednesday morning, March 2, at 148 A.M.

This drug case remains under investigation by deputy Jordan Osborne of the Magoffin County Sheriff Office.
