Pikeville, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 17-6 ) had their four game winning streak snapped at Pikeville 67-53 on Tuesday night at TW Oliver Memorial Gymnasium.

Kensley Feltner led the Bulldogs with 29 points, Sophie Adkins hit 3 three pointers and finished with 9 points, Leandra Curnutte tallied 5 points, Kaison Ward and Abby Nelson scored 4 points each, Tyra Hammond chipped in with 2 points.
The Dawgs hit 5 three pointers and went 10 of 15 from the foul line.

Pikeville was led by Trinity Rowe with 31 points, Kyera Thornsbury 13 points, Rylee Theiss 10 points, Leighan Jackson and Kristen Whited 6 points each, Kylie Hall 1 point.

Emmallee Holt knocked down 5 three pointers against Prestonsburg Monday.
The Bulldogs moved to 4-0 in 58th District action with the home victory over the Blackcats.
Kensley Feltner led five Bulldogs in double figures with 27 points, Emmallee Holt hit 5 three pointers and finished with 15 points, Leandra Curnutte hit 4 three pointers and tallied 14 points, Kaison Ward and Sophie Adkins hit 2 three pointers and netted 12 points each, Abby Nelson 5 points and Tyra Hammond chipped in with 2 points.

The Bulldogs hit 13 three pointers and went 8 of 14 from the foul line.
Prestonsburg ( 17-6 ) was led by Faith Lazar with 26 points, Celina Mullins 18 points, Kylie Tackett 9 points, Hannah Jarrell and Alison Howard 4 points each, Audrey Prater 2 points and Lexi Skeens 1 point.
The Blackcats hit 8 three pointers and went 6 of 11 from the free throw line.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Big district win for us against Prestonsburg. The last time we played them in early December we struggled. Didn’t defend well and struggled to score. Give them credit they made things tough for us. We knew it would be a battle again with them and it was. I was proud of our girls for following the game plan and defending and rebounding much better to secure the win.”
“… On Tuesday we played the defending regional champions and faced a lot of adversity. Pikeville is a tough team. I was proud of our kids for competing like they did. We didn’t defend well or rebound well and if we don’t do those things, well we aren’t going to win. We’ve worked the last 2 days in practice improving in those areas and take on another big district opponent on Friday. We travel to Betsy Layne and their record is deceiving. It will be another tough road game for us.”
