4.A. Superintendent’s Update 

4.A.1. School Funding Task Force concluded our work with 9 recommendations.

4.A.2. Superintendent Fletcher made one additional recommendation to the task force related to teacher salary.

4.A.3. Superintendent Advisory Council and Legislative Superintendent Advisory Council meetings are set for November.

4.A.4. Various local leaders have begun the bicentennial celebrations for Louisa.

4.A.5. KSBA and KASS conferences are scheduled for the first weekend of December.

4.A.6. COVID numbers are declining; vaccinations are available for students (5-11 year olds).

4.A.7. Dr. Fletcher will provide a “tentative” COVID plan as it relates to optional masking.

4.A.8. Governor Beshear’s visit to LCHS was a huge success.

Approve the recommendation and request of the 2018 Local Planning Committee (LPC), including reviewing the supportive information from its November 15, 2021 meeting, that KDE make a minor adjustment to the current District Facility Plan (DFP), Finding # 1 LAVEC, in order to facilitate the use of the recent School Facilities Construction Commission (SFCC) Offer of Assistance in the amount of $9,280,350 for the Renovation & Expansion of Local Area Vocational Education Center (LAVEC)  

 

5.F.2. LCHS BG: 22-147 Softball Facilities (Athletic Upgrades) Update

5.F.3. Districtwide Safety & Security Upgrades Project (SFCC) BG: 22-231

5.F.3.a. Approve BG-1 for Districtwide Safety & Security Upgrades funded using expiring School Facilities Construction Commission (SFCC) Offer of Assistance funds and approve the submission of the BG-1 to KDE Facilities for review and approval

5.F.3.b. Approve Municipal Advisory Services Agreement between RSA Advisors, LLC and Lawrence County Board of Education 

5.F.3.c. Approve to adopt a Resolution authorizing the Lawrence County School District Finance Corporation to Issue Revenue Bonds

5.G.1. Approve to recess the Regular Board Meeting to convene the Lawrence County School District Finance Corporation
